Saleem Farooqui, M.D.

Dr. Farooqui has served Seton Imaging and Saint Agnes Hospital since 2010 as the Director of Abdominal Imaging and Oncology Imaging, and is the Radiation Safety Officer at both facilites. Prior to joining us, he was Clinical Instructor of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, where he completed his fellowship in Advanced Cross-Sectional (Body) Imaging. Previously, Dr. Farooqui completed his radiology residency as well as additional fellowship training in MRI at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where he was also Clinical Instructor. Over the course of his training, he has worked with some of the most widely respected and authoritative radiologists in the country, and brings a great deal of experience in interpreting of complex CT and MRI scans of the body.

Dr. Farooqui is a published author and has lectured on numerous occasions at academic institutions within the country and around the world, and has particular interest on early detection and staging of cancers and other diseases of the liver, pancreas and gastrointestinal disorders. Through his experience from around the country, and his leadership in radiation safety, Dr. Farooqui has been able to introduce newer imaging techniques, resulting in high-quality imaging with less radiation dose, and he works closely with referring physicians and patients on a daily basis.
